Power Yoga – This is a challenging practice which develops strength and endurance. It is based on the system of Yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Beryl Bender Birch and Baron Baptiste. Power Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures. This method produces an intense internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The practice can be both athletic and meditative which results in improved circulation, a light and strong body and a calm mind.

Yoga/Pilates/Ball – Wring out your sponge! Yoga asanas (poses) work from the inside out. Focus on your center. Using abdomen, lower back and buttocks as an anchor or power center, the rest of the body moves safely through a variety of poses.

Benefits include improved posture alignment, abdominal and back strength and flexibility - a series of movements engaging body, mind, and breath. Elongates muscles as it strengthens and stretches. Flushes blood through internal organs.

Yin Yoga – Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that targets the connective tissue to release long held tension and toxins. Unlike other styles of yoga that focus on muscle tissue, Yin Yoga focuses on the ligaments and tendons that connect the muscles to bone and bone to bone to encourage deeper opening and space in the joints. It is based on the ancient principles of Chinese medicine, acupuncture and meridian theory. The intention of Yin Yoga is to open the energy lines of the body to stimulate and detoxify the liver, spleen, bladder and other organs through a series of complimentary postures. The mudras, or poses are held passively for longer periods of time than other styles of yoga (usually 3-5 minutes) in order to safely and gently open the body, mind and energetic channels. Yin Yoga is an essential complement to any dynamic physical regimen or a perfect way to begin on a path towards health and wellness. All of the asana or poses are within the ranges of motion of most beginners and will noticeably enhance their movement in daily life.

Prenatal Yoga with Ann Marie Bazzano – Prenatal yoga strengthens abdominal muscles and muscles of the pelvic floor, while stretching and strengthening the legs. It helps to open hips and can relieve sciatic pain and varicose veins. Most importantly it offers relaxation and breath awareness.

Kids Yoga – Yoga for children is a gentle, non-competitive form of excerise that promotes strength and flexibility while teaching children how to relax, concentrate and quiet their minds. It is not performance oriented. Yoga works on the whole body. Yoga teaches children how to keep the body fit for life.
